A first major expansion for Garrett Aviation Services (formerly a division of Allied Signal), this maintenance hangar was completed in 1990 for a cost of $4,200,000. Located at Capital Airport in Springfield, Illinois, the 62,500 square foot building has a screwdown/EPDM roof system and masonry walls. A clearspan of 250 feet makes this a very specialized hangar for aircraft maintenance and repair.

Engineer: Ralph Hahn and Associates.

A second major project for H&H and Garrett Aviation, this 57,240 square foot aircraft paint hangar is considered to be the most modern in the world. The project was completed in 1998 and the team of H&H Construction and Hanson Engineers won a Consulting Engineers Council of Illinois Award of Excellence for the project.

Engineer: Hanson Engineers (Ralph Hahn merged with Hanson Engineers prior to this project.)
