Midcoast Aviation began in 1971 as a fixed base operation at Lambert Field in St. Louis providing fuel and minor maintenance services. The company has grown into a major provider of jet maintenance and modifications. Sabreliner Corporation purchased Midcoast in 1994 and the company has since grown to over 800 employees and 400,000 square feet of aircraft space with sales reaching $130 million. Midcoast has facilities at the Perryville Municipal Airport, the Spirit of St. Louis Airport, the Lambert-St. Louis Airport and the St. Louis Downtown Airport in Cahokia, Illinois. This new paint hangar will further Midcoast's ability to serve the aviation industry.

H&H's experience in the aviation industry through similar projects for Garrett Aviation and Premier Air led Midcoast to select them as the general contractor.
