This traditional construction project boasts attractive brick veneer and a shingled roof with a large front canopy. The daycare center fits a real need in the Carlinville area. The 9,600 square foot facility accommodates 123 children between the ages of 6 weeks and 12 years and employs a staff of 18 people.

Richard and Linda Schien, owners of Karmak, Inc., donated over 2 acres of land for the project. "The need for day care in Carlinville has been an issue for our employees for several years. Having a quality facility like the Children's Garden Learning Center located close to Karmak is a huge benefit for our employees and for many other working families in the Carlinville area," said Richard Schien.
